I like to remind myself sometimes that despite their engineering feats, Google, FaceBook, YouTube, and other top tech companies are essentially Advertisement companies designed to show ads as much as possible. By that, I meant that we are the product, and it is their sole advantage to keep us in their platforms and engaged in passivity as long as possible.
I thought about it again when I accidentally clicked Safari by mistake, and opened my last tab which was FaceBook. I tried to browsed on Safari without any ad blockers on. Its like having to rawdog the internet, removing the condom, and getting exposed on all the viruses and infections against your will.
